Privacy Policy for Bookmark Kanban
Last updated: 2025-03-26
1. Overview
Bookmark Kanban ("the Extension") prioritizes your privacy. We do not operate any external servers, and we do not collect, transmit, or sell any of your personal data.
2. Data Handling
The Extension processes the following data exclusively within your browser environment:
- Bookmarks: The Extension reads your browser bookmarks to display them in a Kanban layout.
- Usage Statistics: The Extension locally records when you click a bookmark within the interface. This data is used solely to identify "stale" bookmarks for the Cleanup feature.
- Preferences & Layouts: Your column settings, tags, and theme preferences.
3. Data Storage and Sync
All data generated by the Extension is stored using Google Chrome's built-in storage APIs:
- Local Storage: Usage statistics and cache are stored on your local device (`chrome.storage.local`).
- Chrome Sync: Configuration settings (e.g., layout, tags) may be synced across your devices using Chrome's Sync infrastructure (`chrome.storage.sync`). This process is managed entirely by the Chrome browser and your Google Account. The developer has no access to this data.
4. Third-Party Services
The Extension uses Chrome's internal favicon service (`chrome://favicon`) to display website icons. This is a native browser feature and does not involve transmitting your browsing history to the developer or external third parties.
